After a long term research and experiments done by large Japanese hospitals and research institutes, Ganoderma's positive effects have been confirmed in every respect especially its hemocatharsis effect, i.e. improves blood circulation and cell quality.
GANODERMA LUCIDUM (Lingzhi) - A Magic, Herbal Medicine
For thousands of years, the Ganoderma has been considered by the Chinese to be a high quality herbal medicine. The so-called "A-one Medicine" is the best medicine which does not have any side effects, even after taking it for a long time. It can improve one's constitution , increase the body's healing ability, to heap maintain a healthy body and have a long life.
"The Outline Of Herbal Medicine", written by a very famous Chinese pharmacologist - Dr. Li Shin-Chen, classifies Ganoderma into six categories by color. They are Black Ganoderma, Purple Ganoderma, Blue Ganoderma, White Ganoderma, Yellow Ganoderma and Red Ganoderma.
Wild Ganoderma Lucidum is very rare and is difficult to collect. Even if someone finds it by chance, its effects are always lost because of aging and environmental factors. It becomes hard like leather. They may also be toxic. Since they are haphazardly collected, quality control is impossible.
In 1970, a technician of Kyoto University Foodstuff Scientific Research Institute - Mr. Yukio Naoi, used "Spore Separation Cultivation Method" to successfully cultivate Ganoderma. This method was introduced in the Republic of China in 1975. Since the climate and soil conditions are ideal, this technique has been widely adopted.
The Magic Effects of Ganoderma:
Ganoderma has always been shrouded with mysterious curtain for more than a thousand years. People only know that "Ganoderma can keep one young and give one a long life if taken continuously", but no one had ever scientifically investigated why it is so effective.
Under the attentive research done by both Chinese and foreign scholars in recent years, and the cooperative analysis and clinical experiments done by hospitals, colleges and pharmaceutical manufacturers, its extensive efficacy has finally been discovered... It is a hemocatharsis, detoxicant, diuretic, liver protector, intestine regulator, cardiotonic, blood pressure regulator, a cold tonic, antitussive and expectorant, a tranquilizer and anti-tumor drug.
Important Components of Ganoderma:
Organic Germanium (Ge) can increase the oxygen absorbed by the blood up to 1.5 times: can promote metabolism: prevent tissue degeneration. According to the research of Dr. Kazuhiko Asai. Ganoderma contains 800 - 2,000 p.p.m. of germanium. This is 4 - 6 times more than ginseng.
Polysaccharides: This can improve the body's immune system, eliminate viruses. Japanese pharmaceutical companies have refined it to medical quality and it has been approved by the Koseisho Health Department in Japan for insurance medicine.
Its bitter taste. It is under constant study by the Japanese medicinal and pharmaceutical fields. The efficacy is a result of the interrelation of germanium and polysaccharides. Some plants may contain one or the other, but Ganoderma is much more effective. The combination of components is different from other plants and all of the components must be preserved to insure efficacy.
Medicinal Principles of Ganoderma:
According to Dr. Shigeru Yuji clinical experiments, the reason why Ganoderma is effective is because of its basic functions.
Lowers the cholesterol in the blood and the amount of free fats.
Lowers blood lipids and stabilizes red cell membrane.
It contains Adenosine that can lower platelet's agglutination and prevents thrombogenesis.
Improves the function of the cortex of the adrenaline glands to maintain endocrine balance.
Elevates the natural healing ability of the body, allow the body to establish a strong immune system.
Prevents tissue cell degeneration.
Prevents senility, maintaining a youthful constitution.
Lowers the side-effects of antihypertensive drugs or any drug, and even the side effects of chemotherapy.
Prevents organ degeneration.
Prevents allergy caused by antigens, because it inhibits the histamine releasing mastcell.
Prevents and treats cancer and inhibits cancer cell metastasis.
a. Normalizes to prevent tissue degeneration
b. Prevents sudden death of cancer patients caused by embolism
c. Inhibits thrombogenesis and lyses thrombi on the wall of surrounding tissues and removes blockade of cancer medication, increases these drug effectiveness.
d. Relieves pain caused by cancer.
Is it really true that Ganoderma is the savior of modern diseases and is a "Universal Medicine" for all diseases?
By Yukio Naoi of Kyoto University Foodstuff Scientific Institute
"Is Ganoderma really a universal medicine?" Let's not talk about the diseases prevalent in history, but of modern diseases. In order to find the answer, we have investigated its functions over and again for thirteen years. Satisfactory results have been obtained.
The first issue is whether Ganoderma can be effective on all kinds of diseases. Our reply is "Yes", because it is able to maintain the health of the modern person. For an unhealthy person, Ganoderma can effect the most feeble parts of his body. To a patient, it can root out the source of the sickness and allow recovery.
Ganoderma can change an imbalance body to a healthy one. There is no difference among human races, ancient or modern people. People all over the world will obtain the same results.
If the patient's constitution conforms to Ganoderma, it is as if a patent drug is achieving its highest effects. In fact, we have not found any person who obtained negative effects or inefficient results.
Some outstanding results obtained recently are simply analyzed below, in order to evaluate the efficacy of Ganoderma.
One of the most apparent influences modern times has brought to people is their realization of going back to the basics, to the natural, and to the organic. Although the advances brought by technology has made life easier to people, many are still looking for better organic alternatives that are proven to be more effective in their most natural of form, like Ganoderma Lucidum or commonly known as “Ganoderma.”
Believed by the Chinese as the “Miraculous King of Herbs,” Ganoderma Lucidum is highly-regarded for its medicinal properties that help improve human body’s healing ability while helping its user to maintain good physical shape. Aside from promoting longevity, Ganoderma Lucidum has unique properties that contribute much to the strengthening of the immune system. Somewhat rare in the West, Ganoderma Lucidum has been worshipped as a kind of herbal medicine the emperors of the great Japanese and Chinese dynasties drank with their special teas and mushroom concoctions to achieve greater vitality and longer life. Ganoderma Lucidum was also believed to be visible in the “elixir of eternal youth” that the ancient Taoists constantly searched for.
A fungus known by its many names like “Reishi,” “Ling zhi,” and “Mannentake,” among others, Ganoderma Lucidum, for hundreds or even thousands of years, is recognized as powerful medicinal fungi because it has properties often associated with health and healing, long life, knowledge, and happiness. In fact, during the ancient time, it is believed that the Ganoderma Lucidum in medicine was considered so promising that its medicinal value has been attested in a 2,000-year old Chinese medical text—known as an authentic textbook of Oriental medical science. For years, medicinal mushrooms such as Ganoderma Lucidum have long been included in the history of folk medicine for contributing much to curing cancers of all sorts and for showing positive effects to the development of the immune system.
Aside from contributing a lot to the treatment of various diseases, Ganoderma Lucidum has also become popular because of its promising properties that might extend life span while increasing vigor and vitality.
The role of Ganoderma Lucidum in the medical field is quite impressive. Even if its role in the treatment of cancer doesn’t have a strong and solid medical backing yet, Ganoderma Lucidum is still recommended to prevention because of the absence of unfavorable side effects. While people from different walks of life take interests and contribute a lot in the rediscovery of herbal treatments, the popularity of Ganoderma Lucidum increases steadily.
Under the extensive research continuously done so many scholars, as well as the cooperative analysis and clinical experiments conducted by people in the hospitals, inside the colleges and universities, and even by pharmaceutical manufacturers, Ganoderma Lucidum’s potential as an effective medicine is becoming clearer and defined. And like in ancient China—where Ganoderma Lucidum is considered not just a symbol of ‘prosperity and peace’ or an ‘item of tribute’—the so-called ‘miracle herb’ is now also seen by the people in the modern world as a potential elixir for immortality.
With so many research and emerging evidence how Ganoderma Lucidum helps the body work more effectively, efficiently and optimally, the people who do these extensive and never-ending researches continues to hope that Ganoderma can bring a brighter view to humanity on its conquest for longevity.
