Ever wonder why Moses commanded "to keep a portion of the manna"? So that it can be handed down to us - the "future generations". What in this future do we need it for? What is it? That's the secret of the "manna". Remember, the manna did not fall from heaven. They grew from the ground... in the wilderness.
And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground (16:14). When the Israelites saw it, they said to one another, "What is it?" For they did not know what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the Lord hath given you to eat...
What on earth would "grow" fast on the "ground" in the "wilderness" with a "dew"? Isn't this a perfect characteristic and environment of a growing fungus?
